| 14 August 2008 - Top marks for Thule EuroClassic G5 | |||
Thule’s Euroclassic G5 tow bar mounted cycle carrier has received top marks in one of the cycling industry’s most revered and respected publications, MBR.
Technical Editor Paul Burwell awarded the EuroClassic G5 909 ten out of ten in MBR’s September issue, reporting the cycle carrier as “secure, aerodynamic” and “superbly made.” “If you do a lot of travelling with a bike (and a car) you want to look after, the 909 is really worth the investment: it’s one of the best racks on the market, one of the best I’ve used, and easily deserves top marks,” Burwell wrote. A range first launched in 1998, the latest EuroClassic designs were unveiled for the 2008 catalogue. The compact new G5 models are available in two varieties; the 908 holds two bikes, whilst the 909 is a high capacity version, able to carry three bikes as standard and four with an adapter. The tilting action which allows access to the car boot without having to dismantle the bikes was cited as Burwell as “one of the best features” and “ideal to access kit.” The adjustable and universal device for clamping the G5 to the tow bar also received praise for its ease of use and security. The innovative EuroClassic G5 conforms to latest car models and fits most bikes and wheel sizes with ease – best of all, the EuroClassic is easy to fold up and store away when not in use. |
