New recruits at BS7 kick-off the academic year with student promo
BS7, Bristol’s fastest growing and friendliest fitness club, have started the new academic year by expanding their fitness team with two new recruits and launching a promotion to encourage students to keep fit. The new employees, Dorian Brown and Vicki Hill, bring with them an array of qualifications and, most importantly, great passion for health and fitness. While studying many students can easily forget to exercise and eat healthily. Dorian and Vicki, who are both advocates of the notion of healthy body = healthy mind, are encouraging students to consider the positive effects that exercise can have on concentration, creativity and energy levels. Vicki Hill, who has been working as a personal trainer since 2006, comments, “I am passionate about health and fitness and believe in a balanced approach between fitness and nutrition for a healthier lifestyle. Exercise can help people to feel more energised and improve their sense of wellbeing which in turn can aid studying and help to improve exam results.” Gary Cox, Senior Fitness Instructor at BS7, commented, “Stress is a growing problem with many students and finding the right balance between mental and physical exercise can make the difference between losing and keeping the ‘feel good factor'. Most students will find themselves experiencing some kind of stress during the academic year and hard working students can experience physical symptoms such as headaches, eyestrain, racing heart, fatigue, irritability, sleeping problems and muscle tension. Exercise can help relieve the symptoms of stress by relaxing the body and relieving tension and has even been proven to have a positive effect on studying results. Both Dorian and Vicki have a keen interest in fitness and well-being and are qualified to advise and assist students in developing a suitable exercise programme. We are delighted to be welcoming them to the team.” BS7, who are based in the grounds of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, will be running a student promotion throughout October. Students who sign up during October and present a valid NUS card will receive a 25% discount on the current joining fee which also includes FREE gym usage throughout the month of joining. All this, as well as being able to take advantage of the FREE Gloucestershire County Cricket Club Membership given to every BS7 member and the already competitive monthly student fees! Dorian, Vicki and the rest of the staff at BS7 are on hand between 7.30am and 10.00pm Monday – Friday and 9.00am and 9.00pm on weekends to show visitors around the fitness club and give demonstrations of the state of the art facilities, including the newly purchased cardio and resistance kits. Anyone who would like to book a tour of the gym or requires further information on how to become a member can call BS7 for a chat on 0117 910 8000 or visit the website at www.glosccc.co.uk. |
